Neo-Jungian Understandings of Archetypal Energies by Dr. Robert Moore
Dr. Robert Moore offers a neo-Jungian understanding of the archetypal energies which are deep within each of us. Dr. Moore is internationally recognized as one of the foremost psychotherapists specializing in the optimizing of masculine selfhood and leadership. He is the leading expert on contemporary masculine initiation and maturation. Dr. Moore is a Senior Professor in the Center for Theology, Ethics, and the Human Sciences at the Chicago Theological Seminary, Chicago, Illinois USA which is an interdisciplinary institute for advanced study in the philosophical, theological, and ethical implications of the various human sciences. He is also a Diplomat of the Alfred Adler Institute of Chicago since 1983, and an Analyst at the C.G. Jung Institute of Chicago since 1987.
Along with Robert Bly, he is widely considered to be a pioneering visionary of the international men's movement and is known as "a leading member of the mythopoetic branch of the contemporary men's movement" (Barton, 2000, p. 75). He is known as a "cartographer of the human psyche" for his years of research and public lectures on neo-Jungian structural psychoanalysis (Moore, 2002, back cover). In 1990 he presented his decoding of the deep structures of the self in the widely acclaimed five-volume series he co-authored with mythologist Douglas Gillette on masculine psychology and spirituality. Today, in addition to teaching at Chicago Theological Seminary and offering psychotherapy in his private practice, he offers seminars on a Neo-Jungian approach to structural diagnosis in the practice of psychotherapy.

Moore's structure of the deep self has been integrated with
the concepts of Theodore Millon's Personality-Guided Therapy (Millon, 1969 and
1999) in an understanding of Structural Psychoanalysis and Integrative Psychotherapy.
The integration of these theories offer a deeper insight into the human psyche. For your
convenience we have also included books by Theodore Millon and other mythopoetic (men's
movement) authors.
